Dr Abhishek Bhattacharya
Gender: Male
Primary qualifications: MBBS, BSc (Hons), AICSM, PGCert (Medical Education), MRCGP (2021)
Special interests: Medical Education, Paediatrics, Internal medicine
I graduated from Imperial College London in 2013 and proceeded to complete my Foundation Training in Southampton with particular interest in Child Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care - the latter skills enabling me to hold a Principal House Officer post in Queensland, Australia for 2 years to hone in my acute clinical and managerial skills on managing a busy emergency department.
Through all this, I've also spent the best part of a decade teaching in diverse environments, including a science camp in the United States, as a sports coach in Wales, and indeed teaching medical students at Universities of Southampton, UCL, Imperial College London and University of Queensland.
I enjoy bringing my experience to our team at Bloomsbury Surgery. If you don't find me here, I also work at UCL and UCLH, volunteer at YourStance or you might find me attempting to take wickets at a local cricket pitch or hitting balls in an Eton Fives court!
